Who can use Mentaya?
Private practice therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, and any mental health practitioner who has private pay clients and does not want to deal with insurance.
We take care of everything – from verifying out-of-network benefits to automatically submitting claims to help your clients get reimbursed. You will be completely shielded from dealing with insurance companies, and you can focus on providing care to your clients.
You can also use Mentaya if you are on insurance panels, and we will work specifically with your out-of-network clients to help them get reimbursed for therapy.
How does Mentaya's billing platform work?
Mentaya's streamlined billing service allows you to charge a session and submit a claim in one place. Your client can connect their credit card, or link their bank information for lower processing fees, and you will receive immediate payment after you charge.
If you prefer to use a different platform for billing, you can choose the "claim only" option to simply generate and submit a claim. You would charge for the session elsewhere.
How do you deal with claim denials?
We have an effective and streamlined claim submission process to minimize denials. If a claim does get denied, we'll take care of fixing it and resubmitting it at no additional cost to the therapist or their client. If for any reason we are unable to successfully submit the claim, we guarantee an 100% refund of our fees.
Can you submit claims for prelicensed clinicians under supervision?
We are happy to submit claims on behalf of therapists who are currently under supervision, but please note that reimbursement depends on the specific insurance plan. We offer this service risk-free, meaning that if the client doesn’t receive reimbursement, we'll refund our claims processing fee.
Are you HIPAA compliant?
Yes, we are HIPAA compliant. We take the privacy of your clients very seriously and make sure that all data from you and your clients are kept confidential. We have multiple layers of privacy and security in place. For more information please see our BAA agreement.
